We landed in Norway which was beautiful. It was an hour drive to kongsberg where my friend Matt works. His friend lee pick me and another guy John up. It is fast to get to kongsberg by taking a ferry so we took one over the water. It was soooooo pretty.
After the ferry ride we had about another hour drive. We got to lees house and I waited for Matt. He had to go back to work so I started some work. After a bit it was time to go skiing. We skied at a small mountain with one chair lift and about 5 runs. It also had lights which was great. We skied for about three hours taking a great every 3 runs or so because it was so cold.

After skiing we went shopping for dinner. They had some interesting things such as an entire bar skin rug...head included and entire legs of pigs prepared to eat. Matt made me dinner, I worked and then we played bruit with a friend for a while. Early to bed for another day on the mountain.
We went skiing about an hour and a half away from Oslo. The drive was amazing and so was the skiing. It was very cold -20 c out so we took a very long lunch to warm up. At the end of the day we went to the top of the mountains and got an amazing sunset.
After skiing we headed back to Oslo. We were supposed to get Norwegian food but the restaurant was closed and we were told that people from Oslo don't eat Norwegian food so there was none in the city. We had reservations at the ice bar so had to skip dinner and go after.
After the ice bar we didn't know where to eat so we ended up at the fantastic restaurant of TGIF! It was overly American themed!
After dinner we went back and relaxed a bit then I finally got the energy to go out. We went out to a place near Matt's. The bar had a coat check which took about 15 mins. The biggest difference is that they push! If someone runs into you they don't say sorry or excuse me they just keep moving. The whole time we were there people were constantly running into us and pushing us.
The next day Matt and I explored Oslo. We went to a really cool park with sculptures that try to represent real life events. Some are just strange. We also went to the highest point of Oslo to see the overview of the city. It also had a ski jump which I have never seen. They had just had a competition that I missed but you ski and shoot things at the same time.
I flew back to Manchester on Monday morning which ended up afternoon after 3 hours on the runway...again no luck with flying. I met this very nice Norwegian girl who gave me a bar since I had not eaten and we didn't get to Manchester till 230. Overall amazing trip can't wait to go back!
